RCA DLP TV
By heresplanb
There are many different brands of TV's and many different types as
well. One brand and type you may consider is the RCA DLP TV. RCA has
been around for a very long time and has been one of the premier
electronics manufacturers for several years. Of course figuring out
what kind of TV to get from them might be a bit of a hassle. TVs these
days are so much more than just a monitor.
You have the CRT models, the Plasma screen models, the LCD models, and
now the DLP models. CRT is the old box style that we all grew up with.
Plasma screens were the big expensive TVs that most middle class people
couldn't afford; they are still around but starting to fade out. LCD
stands for liquid crystal display and is the standard now for most
people, these are very thin TVs that often double as computer monitors.
DLP is becoming more affordable now as technology advances and many
people are starting to switch to it.
DLP stands for Digital Light Processing and was instituted by Texas
Instruments in the mid 90's. Yes the same Texas Instruments that
makes those advanced calculators. Essentially DLP technology takes a
digital signal and uses really tiny mirrors to handle the signal. This
means that it's not compressed in any way so that you get the crispest,
clearest picture available. At least until next year when someone
invents the new mega ultra high definition screen that lets you zoom in
and see peoples skin cells.
Although the DLP method does have some advantages. Since its signal is
not filtered it suffers less light degradation. Anyone who lives in a
brightly lit home during the day, or a really dark one at night knows
how troublesome it is to get a good picture. This type of display
doesn't require you to adjust the settings very often, its just good
most of the time. If you are looking at getting an RCA DLP TV then have
no worries, RCA has a line up for you.
The HDLP50W151 is one of the best models that RCA makes in this
particular area. This model is a 50 inch rear projection model marketed
for home use. It supports component, hdmi, coaxial, optical, standard
av jacks, and a pc hookup. It also has a few other nice features;
mainly you can plug external speakers into it. This model seems to
resemble the older high end CRT TVs I saw when I was a kid many years
ago.
You may remember them to, huge monolithic like TVs that could be turned
into a home theater system just by adding to them. It's nice to see
RCA going back to the flexibility and quality that they are renowned
for. After all with everyone doing extensive gaming, and watching
movies you need a good TV. Of course this isn't the only model; RCA has
many to choose from.
In closing finding an RCA DLP TV won't be hard. Go to your local
retailer or favorite online store to buy them. RCA makes many types,
and models of TVs so youre sure to find one that fits your needs.
Just remember to get a nice DVD, or Blue Ray player to go with that TV.
